Day 1 Luang Prabang, Laos

Arrive in charming Luang Prabang, once the royal capital of the Kingdom of Laos. Visit Phoussy Temple and climb Phoussy Hill for a panoramic vista of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 2 Luang Prabang

Take part in a food offering to the local Buddhist monks. Explore the sacred Pak Ou Buddhist caves, a weaving village and the royal temple of Vat Longkhoune. Take part in the baci, or welcoming ceremony, a time-honored Laotian tradition.

Day 3 Luang Prabang/Bangkok, Thailand

This morning, view the collection of the Royal Palace Museum, part of the sprawling Grand Palace estate, and stop at the local market. Fly to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel on the Chao Phraya River.

Day 4 Depart Bangkok

Day 1 Bangkok/Siem Reap, Cambodia

A short flight brings you to Siem Reap, where you visit Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple and Elephant Terrace. Later today explore magnificent Angkor Wat.

Day 2 Siem Reap

Today ‘s explorations take you to Ta Prohm and the temples of the Grand Circuit, including the stunning Preah Khan, currently under restoration by the World Monument Fund. This afternoon include visits to Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei.

Day 3 Siem Reap/Bangkok

The morning is free to sightsee or just relax at the hotel. Late in the day, you board your flight to Bangkok to connect with your homebound flight. (B)

Day 1 Yangon, Myanmar

Arrive in Yangon where you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Yangon

A full day of sightseeing includes a sunset stop at the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, gilded with eight tons of gold and believed by Buddhists to be more than 2,500 years old.

Day 3 Yangon/Mandalay

Fly to Mandalay. Board the MV ‘Road to Mandalay’ river cruiser, operated by Orient-Express. Meet your crew and set out on your voyage down the Ayeyarwady River. After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the key sights of Mandalay regarded as the centre of Burmese culture and Buddhist learning. Return to Road To Mandalay for dinner and local entertainment in the evening.

Day 4 Sagaing

After an early breakfast visit Sagaing, the living centre of the Buddhist faith in Burma and famous for its silversmiths who still work in much the same way as their ancestors did. The ship gets underway mid-morning, and begins its journey south. The rest of the day is spent relaxing on board observing the local river life from the top deck. An on-board guide lectures on local places and customs.

Day 5 Bagan

The ship arrives at Bagan where over 2,000 temples and pagodas are scattered on an awe-inspiring plain beside the river. A guided orientation tour introduces you to the most important temples. After lunch you have the opportunity to rejoin the guide and visit the inside of some of the more significant pagodas. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this fascinating area on your own. Late afternoon your guide takes you to watch the breathtaking vista of the sun setting over the plain.

Day 6 Bagan/Yangon/Bangkok

Fly to Bangkok and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 1 Arrive Hanoi,Vietnam

Arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam and transfer to your Hotel.

Days 2 - 3 Hanoi & Ha Long Bay

Morning sightseeing includes both cultural and historic highlights, including Ho Chi Minh’s house; the One Pillared Pagoda; and the city’s Fine Arts Museum. In the afternoon sightseeing includes a nearby village famous for its ceramics; and in the evening we attend a traditional water puppet show. Next day, you depart for a day long excursion, you will visit to one of Vietnam’s most picturesque areas, Ha Long, the "Bay of the Descending Dragon."

Day 4 Hanoi/Hue

Fly to Hue,the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Visit the Imperial Citadel, Royal Museum and Dong Ba Market. Royal dinner in the dragon boat on Perfume River.

Day 5 Hue/Da Nang

Morning excursion we visit the Tu Duc and Kai Dinh Mausoleums, before driving to Da Nang via the scenic Hai Van Pass.

Day 6 Da Nang

The culturally-eclectic trading port of Hoi An is the day’s first stop, followed by a visit to the Japanese Covered Bridge and Museum and al look at the Cham Museum’s collection of masterworks of terra cotta and sandstone sculpture.

Day 7 Da Nang/Ho Chi Minh City

Board a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where sightseeing includes the Thien Hau Pagoda and the busy streets of city’s Cholon (Chinatown) district.

Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City

Morning excursion is to the Cu Chi tunnels of the Vietnamese War. During the height of the conflict, Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces dug an extensive network of tunnels which served as effective hiding places. This afternoon explore Ho Chi Minh City, visiting the former Presidential Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. The day ends with a boat ride on the Saigon River.

Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City/Home City

Transfer to the airport to board your homebound flight. (B)
