Your visit begins in Beijing, a city that embodies the very essence of Imperial China in the palaces of the Ming and Qing courts, the magnificent Forbidden City and the awesome Great Wall. Shanghai, rich in a colonial history evident in the Bund’s stately waterfront buildings. You then board the Deluxe M/S Century Star to venture into the center of the country, gliding through beautiful scenery and friendly riverside villages. Your cruise ends at Chongqing, where you continue by road to Chengdu. Your next stop, Tibet. On The Soul of Tibet, you’ll explore Lhasa, to tour the awesome Potala Palace and the sacred monasteries of Jokhang, Drepung and Sera. Then, flying to Xian, the country’s cradle of culture. Here you pay a fascinating archaeological visit to the First Emperor’s terra-cotta bodyguard-estimated at 6,000 soldiers
strong. Then you board a flight for Guilin, where you cruise on the Li River…
