Your visit begins in Beijing, a city that embodies the very essence of Imperial China in the place of the Ming and Qing courts, the magnificent Forbidden City and the awesome Great Wall and more. Shanghai is the next stop, rich in a colonial history evident in the Bund's stately waterfront buildings. You then board the M/S Century Star to venture into the center of the country, gliding through beautiful scenery and friendly riverside villages. Your cruise ends at Chongqing, where you board a flight for Xian, the country's cradle of culture. Here you pay a fascinating archaeological visit to the First Emperor's terra-cotta bodyguard-estimated at 6,000 soldiers strong. Guilin is your final stop, where you cruise on the Li River...
